RD1 is a closed circuit oxygen rebreather that operates using a breathing gas recycling system:

📋 Replacement Steps
- Open the scrubber canister by turning the end cap
- Dispose of used sorbent safely
- Rinse the canister with clean fresh water
- Dry the canister completely
- Fill with fresh sorbent to the top (do not compact)
- Reinstall the end cap ensuring a tight seal
- Perform a leak test before diving

- Do not use sorbent that has hardened or changed color
- Ensure canister is completely filled to prevent channeling
- Always perform a pre-dive check after replacement
- Store sorbent in tightly sealed packaging
- Replace sorbent every 5 hours of use or as indicated
